I am a passionate Colombian traveler and designer who discovered the beautiful art of tourism. My affinity for the industry began when my family and I created a nautical experience company in Cartagena de Indias. This allowed me to see my country under a different lens: beautiful in its authenticity and mysteriously captivating. A contemporary perspective motivated me to show others the gem I had been sitting on my whole life.

Getting more familiar with the industry, my goal was to build a team of experienced travel designers for tourists going to Colombia. But what I did not expect to discover throughout the process was the infinitely rich potential and the plethora of opportunities my country has had. From beautiful eco lodges and boutique houses, to immersive experiences and native tour guides that offered so much differentiation from anything I had seen before… I had a revelation that was almost biblical. Why not connect all these experiences, refurbish them, and expose them to those who think they have seen it all?

That is the reason Butiq was born. To enhance, potentialize, develop and connect beautiful destinations from Colombia with conscious travelers. Colombia is the diamond in the rough waiting to be polished. Hence my purpose, along with an outstanding group of creatives in the travel industry is to communicate and enhance my country´s destinations so that people can get a taste of it even before their arrival.
